Spreading Appreciation During Ramadan
In the month of Ramadan, we extended a small appreciation gesture to all Sun Lifers to thank them for their perseverance and dedication.

On 9 March, energy packs were distributed to all Sun Lifers at the HQ office, while team members at the branch received e-wallet support so they could enjoy a treat with their peers.

In the spirit of inclusivity, we also extended the gesture to all onsite support partners, including the cleaning and security teams in recognition of their everyday support.

MySinarKasih: Combining Protection with Purpose
In conjunction with National Waqf Month this March, Sun Life Malaysia Takaful has introduced MySinarKasih Sun Life, a new initiative that puts our takaful proposition into action by pairing protection with faith-based giving.

MySinarKasih provides a complimentary waqf benefit of RM8,000 to 10,000 eligible Muslim Clients in the low to middle-income segment, with an optional Badal Hajj benefit of the same value. This brings the total coverage value to RM80 million.

By embedding the waqf benefit within MySinarKasih, SLMT is empowering its clients to protect their families while creating a lasting impact - demonstrating how faith-based financial planning supports community wellbeing.

Offered as a gesture of appreciation, SLMT will contribute RM8,000 in waqf on behalf of each eligible Client, payable upon death within one year of certificate commencement and to be channelled to Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia. Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia will then allocate the contribution to support programmes across healthcare, education, the environment and economic empowerment.

To mark the launch of the initiative, our SLMT CEO, Azam Yusof, joined Dr Ridhwan Bakar, CEO of Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia, in a sharing session discussing how this initiative will help raise waqf awareness and participation for lasting community impacts.
