Sedap tapi Sihat Series Brings Healthy Twists to Malaysian Favourites
As part of the Blood Glucose Screening Programme 2025, Sun Life Malaysia launched the Sedap tapi Sihat Series to show that healthy eating can still be delicious. Collaborating with Sid Murshid, the series features three specially crafted recipes that give a healthier spin to beloved Malaysian dishes. A content creator and restaurant owner, he is well-known for his engaging cooking content and passion for promoting healthier meals.

From the hearty Ayam Masak Kurma and flavour-packed Mushroom Rendang to the unique Ambuyat with Ikan Ampap, each recipe is designed to raise awareness on diabetes while proving that nutritious food doesn’t mean compromising on taste.

On 9 September 2025, Sun Life Malaysia joined TodayPlus for its official launch in Malaysia, held at our First Avenue office. The launch follows the platform’s successful debut in Hong Kong, marking an exciting milestone as it expands into the Malaysian market.

The introduction of TodayPlus in Malaysia opens new opportunities to better serve Clients, making insurance and takaful more accessible through innovative digital solutions. The event was attended by TodayPlus’ management team, business partners, and advisors, alongside Ho Teck Seng, President & Country Head of Sun Life Malaysia, and Vincent Nga, Chief Agency Officer.

Sun Lifers Step Up for a Life-Saving Cause
On 11 September 2025, the Mezzanine Floor of our HQ office was filled with purpose as Sun Lifers took part in the LIAM Nationwide Blood Donation & Health Awareness Campaign, organised by the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM). A total of 40 Sun Lifers stepped forward to contribute to this meaningful effort.

The campaign was organised to foster a sense of social responsibility while supporting a cause that directly saves lives. Every bag of blood donated helps replenish the nation’s supply, ensuring that hospitals are equipped to respond to emergencies and patients in need.

More than just a donation drive, the campaign served as a reminder of how small actions can create lasting impact. Sun Lifers once again showed that compassion and kindness lie at the heart of our community spirit, making a brighter difference for those who need it most.
 
Q3 Town Hall: Energising Sun Lifers on the Playing to Win Journey
On 23 September 2025, Sun Lifers gathered at Level 1 of our HQ office for the Q3 Town Hall, a key platform to align, connect, and energise the team as we continue our ‘Playing to Win’ journey.

The session began with a welcome speech and business updates from
Ho Teck Seng, President & Country Head of Sun Life Malaysia, who shared business updates and inspiring insights. The energy in the room reflected the collective commitment to driving performance and achieving our goals together.

The town hall also took the opportunity to officially welcome Vincent Nga, Chief Agency Officer, and Ong Le Keat, Chief Financial Officer, to the
Sun Life Malaysia family. Their addition to the leadership team strengthens our drive towards growth and collaboration, as we continue building a brighter future together.
