Continuing the PPR Screening Programme: Second Leg for Greater Impact
We concluded the 2025 PPR Screening Programme with a final stop at PPR Raya Permai, Sungai Besi, on 6 December. The programme kicked off on 22 November at PPR Seri Cempaka, marking our ongoing commitment to raise diabetes awareness and promote healthier living for B40 families in the Klang Valley.

At PPR Raya Permai, over 150 residents received nutritious food packages alongside complimentary health screenings, including blood glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure tests, conducted in collaboration with our partner, BookDoc.

Across these two PPR locations in the Klang Valley, the programme reached over 280 residents. A big thank you to Food Aid Foundation, BookDoc, and the residents of PPR Seri Cempaka and PPR Raya Permai for their support. We look forward to extending our health and wellness initiatives to more communities in the year ahead.

Spreading Festive Cheer at the Q4 Townhall & Christmas Celebration
On 11 December, Sun Lifers gathered at our HQ office for the Q4 Townhall and Christmas Celebration - coming together to reflect on the year and celebrate the season as one team.

The Townhall, which was held at M Floor and conducted in hybrid format, kicked off with business update by Mr. Ho Teck Seng, our President & Country Head. He reflected on the year’s achievements and recognised the dedication and collective efforts that continue to move Sun Life Malaysia forward.

A special highlight of the Townhall was the recognition of our long-serving Sun Lifers, with a total of 27 individuals honoured for reaching service milestones ranging from 5 to 15 years. The moment celebrated their loyalty, dedication, and the contributions that continue to shape the company’s progress.

The festive celebration continued at Level 1 with Christmas-themed treats, lucky draws and festive cheers. Sun Lifers also took part in a friendly competition for the Best Christmas Decoration with judges visiting each floor to score the decorations. The results were met with excitement as Level 11 was crowned first place, followed by Level 6 in second place and Level 9 in third place - showcasing creativity, teamwork and holiday spirit across the office.

Empowering the Next Generation with Financial Literacy: Final Stop at Universiti Islam Selangor
On 13 December, Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad (SLMT), in collaboration with the Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA), concluded the Program Inspirasi Pendidikan Kewangan Belia Negara 2025/2026 at Universiti Islam Selangor - marking the fifth and final university under this year’s programme. Funded through SLMT’s surplus sharing initiative, the programme underscores Takaful’s principles of mutual support and uplifting the communities we serve.

The session engaged with 114 students through interactive learning focused on building strong financial foundations guided by Islamic principles. With the support of 21 Sun Lifers, students also took part in the InsureLit board game, where they navigated real-life financial scenarios that brought concepts such as money management, savings, and Shariah-compliant protection to life in a practical and engaging way.

As the final stop of the programme across five universities, the Universiti Islam Selangor session reflected Sun Life’s ongoing commitment to boosting financial literacy among young Malaysians – equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions early in life. This reinforces our purpose to help people achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.

Personalised New Year Greetings with Alif Satar
As part of a regional office (RO) initiative, a personalised AI video campaign featuring Sun Life Malaysia’s brand ambassador, Alif Satar, was rolled out for year-end and New Year outreach. The campaign enabled AI-powered videos to be generated alongside Alif, allowing personalised New Year greetings to be shared with clients in a more engaging and memorable way.

By leveraging technology and ambassador-led content, the initiative strengthened brand awareness, enhanced client engagement, and supported advisors in building meaningful connections as they welcomed the new year.

Welcoming 2026 with KLCC Digital Countdown Event
On 31 December, Sun Life Malaysia marked the arrival of 2026 with a bold digital countdown takeover along Jalan Ampang. From 11:50pm to 12:10am, our New Year message lit up at the KLCC Junction Screen, strategically located at one of the city’s busiest intersections, creating a shared countdown moment for Malaysians to welcome the new year together.

The screen also showcased selected winning entries from the “Share Your 2026 Goals” contest, bringing new hopes and aspirations into the public space. Contest winners were announced live on screen, with 26 participants recognised across prize tiers. The grand prize winner received an Apple iPhone 17 Pro, followed by a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 and a Marshall headphone. Three participants won JisuLife portable fans, while 20 others received ZUS Coffee e-vouchers.

To extend the excitement beyond the screen, party packs were distributed nearby, adding to the festive atmosphere on ground. The lively countdown has transformed into a powerful brand touchpoint - connecting with the public in real time, celebrating new beginnings, and setting the tone for a brighter start to 2026.
