Making a Difference for Mental Health This October
Every October, the global communities come together to raise awareness for mental health. As an organisation that advocates holistic wellness, we are pleased to join the battle by dedicating our Brighter Wellness Facebook live session in October to empower our Clients and communities to care for their mental health.
One of the biggest lessons that we have learned from the pandemic is the importance to care for our mental wellbeing. With the persisting pandemic situation, many of us would have been emotionally overwhelmed. Therefore, it is important to tell ourselves that it is OK to not to be OK.
For our 5
th
live session on 31 October 2021 at 8:00pm, mental wellness expert and consultant psychiatrist, Dr. Amer Siddiq, discussed the importance of mental wellbeing and how to practice self-care. The session was hosted by celebrity presenter and actor, Nazrudin Rahman, or better known as "Naz".

The Power of OneSunLife Values
The OneSunLife values are key drivers that empower us to achieve our highest potential at work. They guide how Sun Lifers think, act, and make decisions so we can achieve even more together as a united team. This can open the door to new approaches and opportunities and help us better respond to change and uncertainty.
Since launch, champions from across Asia have organised events, competitions and sharing sessions to help us explore, better understand and how how we can put them into practice and scale to greater heights. And in Malaysia, the Champions held a series of team games and activities as well as shared stories to build the employees’ understanding of the Values.
Our very own Champion, Christine Michael, Head of Claims & Partner Management said, the transition to working from home arrangements was significantly harder than anticipated, but the learning curve is fast. Leaning to our global counterparts, who were all facing similar challenges, helped all of us to navigate the coronavirus pandemic and crisis better. She also stressed on the important of staying agile in this ever-changing environment and working together to meet our Clients' needs.
As for Johan Mohamad Yunus from Agency and Banca Takaful Training and Development, he believes Caring and Winning can help navigate conflicts not just in the workplace, but in all aspects of life. Sharing knowledge, respecting opinions and helping each other contribute to the whole team's success -
We don't win on our own, we do it together!
